Montecristo, the Italian island halfway between Corsica and the Italian mainland, with its highest peak, Monte della Fortezza (Italian fortress mountain), gives its name to this ring.
The special: The entire island was designated as a nature reserve in 1970 and may only be entered with special permission. Since only about 1,000 visitors are admitted per year, the waiting period for this is about three years. A visit is therefore an absolute tourist rarity.
This ring is intended to symbolize the mountainous, isolated and unique green island with all its peculiarities.
The crowning glory of this jewel – as the mountain of the fortress – is the presence of the Conch pearl, which is as rare and rare as a visit to Montecristo.
